"lis-mmit" DISCUSSION LIST

All members of MmIT may join lis-mmit, the electronic discussion group for MmIT.

lis-mmit, formerly lis-lamit, was initially set up to discuss merging the Library Association's Multimedia Group and Information Technology Group into a Multimedia Information and Technology Group. It has now been opened up, for wider discussion of Multimedia, Information, Communications and Technology and other convergence issues in the Library and Higher Education community.

The purpose of the list is generally to facilitate discussion and information exchange on matters relevant to members of CILIP's Multimedia Information and Technology Group (MmIT). More specifically it is used to disseminate news and documents to members of the group, to supplement the printed newsletter and the electronic journal.

To join lis-mmit email the following command, (typing your own personal names instead of firstname(s) and lastname):

join lis-mmit firstnames(s) lastname

as the only text in the body of an email addresses to:

jiscmail@jiscmail.ac.uk

Once you have begun to receive messages from lis-mmit, you can add your own contributions by replying to:

lis-mmit@jiscmail.ac.uk
